…the man himself

Mr. Ahmet Turgut Yazman. Born (15.12.1970) and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. A true believer in tolerance and the free spirit. Fully capable in expressing himself in Turkish and English. A mystic man of humility, living in the heart of nature, involved in Sufism, Meditation and Yoga.


… has learned the art


at the Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Film and Television, as a graduate in Screenplay and Directing, which he later topped off with a MBA in “Art History and Museum Science” at the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul.


… then honed his skills


as a photographer and editor of a film magazine, an assistant feature film editor, an assistant director and TV art program producer and director.
Upon graduation in 1995, he became the assistant director of a large film production company (Tuna Film Production), until he formed his own company – Gate Production – in 2000, mainly specializing in TV commercials. Since September 2003 he works as a director, exclusively on his own projects, while he also lectures about Anatolian Wisdom at different schools and independent workshops.


… and along the way


… he shot a short film about multicultural ties called “The Earth Calls”.
… shot commercials and campaign productions for Opel, Hobby Hair Gel, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Renault .
… directed a TV show of 13 episodes for ATV about Anatolian mythology, religions and esoteric beliefs.
… directed a documentary feature film called “Gobeklitepe – The World’s First Temple”, which made quite a sound around the world.
… strolled around the world (England, U.S.A., Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, India, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, Egyot, Tunisia and more) collecting tales and data for future projects.


Where does he go from here?


He currently works on two different featured film projects; namely a 13th century Anatolian Sufi adventure, and a modern day mystic love story.
